Fish holding system design

Hi

Could anyone assist me with a fish holding system design. Specifically to hold fish individually. I would like to build a setup like those used at the wholesale facilities. I've checked online but haven't been able to find anything.

If anyone knows how to do this or can point me in the right direct it would really be appreciated

Most wholesalers I have seen used grey bins (probably cheapest route) to increase water volume for stability. Then you can stack acrylic holding tanks each fitted with john guest fitting nozzles where you can regulate water flow.

I recall that PVC I sheets are cut across to support the acrylic tanks on the grey bin.

That's exactly what I want to build , is there a company that designs and build these racks, are the plans available somewhere online .
How does the plumbing of the cubicles work , are they bottom drained or is there a hidden down pipe, ect.

Judging by this picture, i'd say they overflow over the blue wall in the back of the little boxes into some main channel system or even straight down into the bins below.

See the box at the very bottom edge of the picture, the false wall in the back of it...

I like the white PVC system. Each acrylic container has a small overflow box where it drains directly in the basin of the white PVC which then drains to the grey PVC bins. They can be made smaller to hold smaller fishes and won't require a net because each container is individual. Just lift one of the acrylic boxes and pour fish with water into a bag for shipping. I think I have seen some of these systems at the wholesalers.
You probably have to go to a plastic fabricator locally to make your design.

All acrylic systems like above are pricey if bought pre-made. The marineland tank system the use at petco is about $2,000 per 4ft section (plug and play).

How many fish are you trying to hold and for what purpose?

Thanks for the advice, I import marines, so basically it's for holding before resale. I'm located in South Africa. I'd like to build the system myself but would like to get advice on the how to before waisting time and money on trial and error.

Check out YouTube, there are several videos for wholesale holding systems (seagrest farms, sea dwelling creatures, vivid aquariums) , but if its something you want to DIY, there are always a dozen ways to anything. So you will have to pick something that fits your space, needs, and budget.
