Fish/Invert to clean sand

I am looking for recommendations on a fish/invert that will burrow through my sand and clean it...I was thinking a Sand Sifting Sea Star but I heard they are high-maintenance and my tank is only a couple months old. Any suggestions??

Nassarius Snail.

I would go for a couple of these fellows, my tank has been set up for just over a month and our one is doing just fine! and he's really odd looking.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've had 5 of them my tank for about 2 weeks now. They are putting a dent in it but they do not mix the sand up as much as I would like. I'd like to have something that will burrow and mix the sand pretty well.

My turbos snails clean my sand really well. Their size seems to stir it up well.

Either Nassarius or some sort of sandsifting goby (diamond, valenciennea, etc.).

I have two sand sifting stars, 5 nassarius, 2 pacific conchs a pistol shrimp and a female yellow watchman goby. They keep the sand in my 75 spotless. I heard the stars were hard too but i havent ever had a problem with them.

Get an orange spotted diamond back goby. Those guys are so much fun to watch and they do a FANTASTIC job. I heard they're jumpers, so make sure the lid's on tight.

I secound the orange spotted goby, Thats what I went for when I needed something for the job like your describing... he does an awsome job...
