I assume because of antibiotic additives. You guys really use Scotch brite pads?

I never got so fancy, just a straight piece of plastic/ acrylic tubing attached to the hose. I have about 4 different sizes. The only mod I make is I learned it has to be scary enough that the small fry in larval tanks run from it, the clear tube doesn't do it so I put a band of black electrical tape on the tip. That scares the little suckers and they stay clear of it
