Fish question

Let me start by saying sorry for no pics, I do not have a camera. I am going to try and borrow one from a friend but until then....
My Lemmonpeel angel is having a problem. There is a white growth on its lower lip. I first noticed this about a week ago, it looked like Chip (thats his name) had a little white zit on his lip. I got back from vacation yesterday and now it has turned into a growth. Any ideas? I will try to get some pics up later today (after work).

It looks just like a tiny ball of cotton on his lower lip. He shows no signs of stress and is still eating like a pig. I don't suppose I am lucky enough that this will go away on its own?

I would try asking this in the fish disease forum here on Reef Central...they can help you fast when you need help.

Good luck with your fish.

Try specifically looking up under lymphocystis. My new swallowtail I got last Nov had this on her lower lip, then she developed some similar lesions on her gill covers. From what I found out, it was lymphocystis. Supposed to be basically like a viral wart. Said to keep water parameters clean and the fish well fed and healthy, and it would eventually go away on its own. It eventually did. Good luck.

I looked under lymphocystis and think that is it. Going to do a large water change & hope for the best. Thanks for all of your suggestions!
