Fish resistant macro

I am looking to add a macro species to my tank. The problem is that my tangs and angels quickly destroy anything they find tasty. Is there a species that they would fins unappealing that won't completely overrun my tank?

On another note, is there a species that my fish would enjoy nibbling on that, once established, would grow fast enough to keep up with them?

Thanks.

Mike

I had some chaeto, but my powder blue, kole and sailfin ate a softball sized clump in a day. I also had some feather caulerpa that my queen angel devoured.

my yellow tang also has no interest in chaetomorpha. i'm trying to find something i can grow that it will like.

I have a C serrulata that my trio of yellow tangs let alone. They do nip at it when their magfloat of nori is empty, though.

This red (in the upper right corner of the photo) possibly a halimenia species, grows exceptionally fast in my tank, and my tangs love it when I harvest it for them. I do believe they would eat it before it was able to grow, no matter how fast it grows. Maybe you could grow it your sump for them?
