fish tank room divider

has anyone set up an aquarium as a room divider? how did it turn out? ive seen some cool ones, like these bullnose tanks, but just the little 110gallon ones costs like 3-4k

so i guess ill settle for a DIY way to get that look. im looking for a 120 or 150 gallon short tank(48") un-drilled if anyone has one for sale.

the pics below are of the bullnose shape, they are just alot bigger

Those tanks look phenomenal. Are you thinking about doing a build thread? That would be very neat to see come together.

I would go with at least a 180 gallon because you need enough depth on both sides of the tank for this style to work properly. I was contemplating the idea, but it wouldn't work in my application. Also, be sure to not get enormous rocks because that will hinder amount of workable space. hth

ideally i want to get one of the tanks in the pic, but dont have the money for that just yet haha. i would love to do a 6ft tank, but im limited to a 48" because the area where the tank will be going is only about 8ft across, so i dont want to make the walkway too narrow. but the 120 and 150 talls are 48"x24x25 or 48'24x30...so it gives me a decent area for rock-scapping and what not

mine is quite simple as my bedroom is 20'x12' and in the middle i have a 90 gallon tank peninsula style dressed in oak from floor to ceiling . at the same point in the room i have my television adjacent to the tank . my king sized bed is on one side and mt dressers and closet along with my dogs bed is on the other side of the tank . there is a three foot wide area to walk through in the middle .also i have the tank plumbed into my sump in the cellar so its silent too .

I have my 90 set up as a divider at the top of a small staircase in my living room. I chose an all glass 90 with the single corner overflow because the other large stock size tanks have dual overflows. As soon as I can I hope to upgrade to a wider tank from marineland. My 90 is only 18" wide so with rock-scape in the middle there is little room for corals to grow out.
