Fish to avoid... Specifically

Hello,
After a huge length of time searching for a list of which fish to avoid I have come up empty. I have seen the term "wrasses" applied with little clarification as far as which ones. I want to add a clam to my tank but before doing so want to make sure none of the fish inhabitants will harass the clam. Presently I have
Naso tang
Yellow tang
PJ cardinals x2
Christmas wrasse
Ornate leopard wrasse
Fine blue spotted wrasse
Royal gramma
Yellow striped cardinal
Mandarin
Ruby red dragonet
Bannerfish (SUSPECTED not clam safe, need verification)
Coral Beauty (will net and remove before clam introduction)
I also have peppermint shrimp and a couple Caribbean cleaner shrimp.

I want to add a couple cleaner wrasses and maybe a lineatus wrasses and a rhomboid.
Thank you for the advice.

My dwarf Angels never bothered my clams except for one potters. Had several coral beauty and flame and potters that didn't bother them.

It's possible your Christmas Wrasse might. I had a Melanarus that starting nipping at the mantle of my Derasa. I think these wrasses are similar.

Gonna tag along...gonna add a clam in the next 2 months, once the weather breaks and I can buy from Pacific east aquaculture.

Didn't realize Mandarin's were a problem. I don't own one....but wanted to get one eventually down the road. Oh well...no dragonets for me.

The list of fish at the beginning is a list of fish I currently have, I am asking which fish should be avoided. Mandarins are not clam compatible??? I will never get rid of the mandarin man but I can't see how he could be tempted by the clam?

Oh....ok. My mistake.....Thanks for the correction. Should have read more closely. I jumped the gun after reading the title. The Mandarin didn't make sense to me, hence the reason for my reply. Thank God....I love Mandarins, and it was literally one of my next fish purchases, next to the clam.

my only concern with dragonets and clams is the dragonet getting caught in the clam if it closed suddenly.

they won't bother it, so no worries there. my mandy will sometimes even pluck pods right off the outside shell of my clams, neither of them mind a bit.

as far as the others i haven't noted above, can't be of too much help. i know my flasher wrasse never touched any of my clams, but that's about where my knowledge of wrasse-clam compatibility ends.

Thank you for the knowledgeable post! I LOVE watching mandarins. I'm fortunate in that I have pods everydamnwhere.

I can't imagine you having issues from the leopard wrasse. I had one with my deresa with no issues. At one point I had a melanarus wrasse in there as well that never bothered the clam. When I first added the clam, my skunk cleaner was all over it. I don't know if he was just scavenging from the shell, checking it out or what, but he left it alone after a couple hours and is fine with it now.

Yeah I don't think you need to worry from the list you have, the only question mark i'd put would be the angel, even then as long as it's well fed it should leave the clam alone.
