fish with jagged fins

putting a fish with torn or ripped fins into your DT is most likely a bad idea (imo). Its a possibility they are simply torn because of capture, but its more likely for it to be a bacterial infection. I would also double check ur parameters, your ph being too high or too low or ammonia levels can play a part in physical fin appearance.

You should provide what type of fish and your parameters. Hope you decide to QT and not risk it.

thanks for the response

i think my fish is torn alittle because he was getting bullied
the bullying has stopped now, and other than the torn tail fin he looks good.
do u think theres a good chance all my fish are going to die

if its bacterial it can kill them. It might get better on its own, but that is a huge risk you are taking (i don't think its likely for it to get better on its own if its bacterial). Fortunately it most likely isn't going to kill them as quickly as ich, brook, or velvet would, but you definitely want to treat as quickly as possible if you know its not just bullying.

Consider getting a QT and treat all fish next time, not doing so is a huge risk on your investment and also will most likely cause more time/money.

How big is your tank, what is your livestock, what are your parameters?

my parameters are all fine
my tank is 50 gallons with 1 pseodochromis, i clown, i yellowtail damsel, and a six line

its the speudochromis that is alittle jagged at the tail. i noticed it the day after i introduced him. my tank is very healthy, my wrasse is almost two years old. i hope im not sending him to his grave.
