What kind of tang? Tangs and surgeonfish are the epitome of surge zone fish. They aren't going to waste energy swimming hard if they don't need to though. So either the water flow in that area is just too strong, or the fish is just hanging out in a place that is easier to swim.
That species usually lives in rubble areas where the current is fairly moderate. Other species can be found on forereefs and reef crests though (Labridae is a big family).
my tank is 100g, with 1 blue tang, 1 yellow tang, 1 flame angel, 2 clown and 1 bicolor dottyback. Thinking of get rid of the tang and replace with school of chromis or anthias, how many chromis should I get?
