I what I thought was ich in the DT and I put all my fishes in QT, 2 clowns, 2 flame wrasse, 1 xmas wrasse. This is about the 3 week of hypo and I didnt notice anymore ich but now I see one of my flames have what appears to be lympho on its fin/mouth and now I notice my xmas have something similar on 1 of its fins.

I would like to know if its contagious and what treats it? The fishes are in my 55 QT and I change 5 gallons daily.

Lympho is a virus, not dangerous or contagious. It will almost always disappear with great water & feeding. It doesn't need to be treated in a QT and i wouldn't worry about it now; when fish are back to their normal water and environment, it'll probably dissappear. it takes some time, though.

I have been treating what I thought was ich but now appears to be lympho in QT for at 1.009 hypo. My question is should I stop hypo now or just do the full treatment then bring the salinity back up slowly and then wait for the lympho to go away?

Since you started hypo already, I see no reason stopping it. You might as well finish the treatment in case the fish really had ich.

IMO & E Lympho is a good stress indicator, and evidence that stress does, in fact, affect fish and isn't just b/s. I've seen many fish with persistent Lympho while in QT but it clears up a few days after being transferred over to the DT. In many cases you won't ever see it again UNLESS the fish has to go back into QT. I've also seen Tangs in undersized tanks that have Lympho and it seems to come and go. But put them in a larger aquarium and it seems to disappear forever in a lot of cases. Which I guess also lends weight to what the Tang police have been telling us for years.

I am not sure if its ich but the lympho is still present on the fishes, my question is if leaving them in the hypo treatment will make the lympho worst or does it help?

Hypo treatment should have 0 impact on Lympho, one way or the other. The best thing you can do right now for the Lympho is keep the water quality excellent and feed vitamin-enriched nutritious foods to aid your fishes immune systems fight the virus off naturally. Some people soak their fish food in something like Selcon or Vita-Chem to help with the latter.

Ok, do you think using any antibiotics will help with any secondary infections from the lymphos? I have Furan 2, Erythromycin, Tetracycline.

The active ingredients found in Furan-2 make it a good all-around antibiotic to use IMO. Erythromycin (active ingredient in Maracyn) is also a good antibiotic, but it needs to be used in conjunction with Minocycline (Maracyn-2) to cover all the bases. I consider Tetracycline to be a bit outdated and obsolete, so I don't use it anymore. But use it if you already have it or if nothing else is readily available.

I've sometimes seen secondary infections develop with a fish that has a lot of lympho but it is rare. So I kinda doubt you'll need to use antibiotics. At least that is my hope for you. :)

Thanks, I think I will just observe the fishes more before using any antibiotics so not to further create anymore stress. Any ideas as to what to look out for if they have secondary infections?

Only use antibiotics when necessary. There is risk, as some fish seem to have an adverse reaction to them. Below is a link to a good article (w/pics) that covers a wide variety of saltwater ailments. You'll see a "Bacterial & Fungal Diseases" section there.

I am abit worried now, the fish still very lethargic, does lympho do that to them? I feed them mysis and they are eating but doesn't look like it wants to swim. This morning the fish with lympho I thought was dead but was just laying down on its side, not really breathing fast or anything.

I keep reading that lympho is a virus and just let it run its course and it will be fine, but it is very discouraging when you see how the fish behaves. I know its not ich because none of the other fishes have or darting/flashing/scraping for about 3 weeks in hypo. I dont think its velvet or brook because it it was they all have it and be dead already. Its just 1 of the fishes that has lympho and it got it like 2 weeks after being in QT. I just need some more info on what I should do, thanks.

Is Lympho still on one of the Flame Wrasse's mouth? Anytime it's on the mouth or body or something (and not just on the fins), it seems to affect the fish more. It can become fatal if it gets out of control or grows over a bad place (i.e. eyes, gills, etc.) Unfortunately, there's really not much you can do if this is Lympho. Maybe you could post some pics so we could double check your diagnosis.

Its still on the Flame wrasse, isolated to the fins, lower mouth, belly area. This is going to sound stupid but I been on the forum for ages and I still dont know how to upload pictures here, care to guide me in the right direction and I will post pics asap, thanks.

Click "Reply" and next to the smiley face (in the menu above where you type) you'll see a paperclip. Click on that and either upload a picture file from your computer or from a link (URL).

I agree with Mr Tusk's and Bobba's comments except that I have seen it sometimes move to other fish so I think it can be somewhat contagious. Not like a parasite, but I have seen it pop up on a healthy fish in a dt after it ran its course on a fish in quarantine. Just a small speck, but it happened to a couple of different fish.

Your fish may be having a hard time due to the combination of lympho and hypo. Either will stress the fish and could make it lethargic. The combination just makes it more likely.

If it is lympho, you just have to wait it out. The fish is probably uncomfortable and having some difficulty eating with lympho on its mouth. If the fish continues to lay on the sand and you are sure it doesn't have ich, I would be tempted to bring it out of hypo very slowly.
