For the story of how the tank started and were it is now is a big difference. One reason why I'm posting this is last week when I had the bulb out so I could find a replacement I broke it and in a panic I made a DIY led and t2 light but the leds I had were not bright enough. So yesterday I ordered me 8 cool white r5 free leds with a 65 degree lens and 8 CTO-e royal blues with 55 degree lens . After some reading 16 3 watt leds might be to much for this tank . I did have a 26 watt white and blue cf with 7 one watt leds on it before. I figure I will just have to start out dim and raise the light level up every two days till I get to about were I was. I know I might hear some comments on the clowns in a small tank but they seem happy for now and the bigger one whitch is my girl even let's me pet her when i have the lid open. The other one bites me. LOL. And I think its cute how the bigger one sleeps laying my my mag float . They will soon one day be in my 28 nano cube that is setting next to this tank that I'm nursing back to health. I got it up and running nicely stocked a month old with a digital aquatics controler and gear for 200 bucks. The problem was the tank was super dirty for being a month old and the water was super bad and tons of stuff was dieing in it and took me a month of doing five gallon water changes every two days and changeing the poly pad I'm using every day just to get all the dead organic matter out of the sand and tank. It is getting better and I'm now seeing coraline a phrase growing on the rocks and back glass. But back to the five gallon. I added a few mushrooms and a small piece of gsp to it since the video and the xenia split four times its growing like a weed. What I need to know is are the 16 leds i ordered going to be to much.
