Hello I have a 29 gallon tank with 2 small clowns in it. It is fish only and I wanted to get a Flame angel. do you think that it will be okay in the 29 gallon tank??

thanks!

IMO, it's not a good fit. While not large, dwarf angels are very active and do best in larger tanks. Something in the range of a 40 breeder or larger would be better. Go for length rather than height.

Agreed with the above. If you really like angels, cherub angels or African flameback angels are even smaller and could work better if those clowns are a smaller species like ocellaris or percula.

I don't think adding a flame angel in a 29 would be a problem, especially if it is a small specimen. These guys don't really grow all that fast. I say this should be fine, but only if your tank is well established with a large amount of live rock. I also would not suggest adding any more fish after.

I've kept 2 different dwarfs in a 33gal cube with no problems.

Well...I personally think it would work, but I would go with the African Flame back as it is smaller/slow grower and very beautiful.
