Flame hawk keeps staying st top swiming back and forth

My prior flame hawk die the other day from ammonia spike. So once the ammonia went bsck down i got a new one..

Tested the water. And its fine. No ammonia. Nitrates at 20.. alk and cslcium are 450 and 10.. ph is 8.0 temp is 79f.

All my fish are acting fine but this nee flame hawk is either retarded or something elss.

He doesnt dsrt around the rocks and oerch like ny other one.. he just swims left and right the length of my tank with his face near thr surfacr.. thrn he randomly darts st light speed and thrn stops on my pumps and does it agsin.

I just fed them and he stopped his weirdness and ate like a pig.. thrn started it again. I mesn ive had him one day overnight now. So ill guve him some time.

But why is he doing this ? Ammonia is deff at 0

Low oxygen in the water?
 
I have an airstone and plenty of surface movement its just weird he looks fine lol he keep hanging at the tope farting on the surface splashing like maniac lol

Mine did that and then he jumped out of the tank. I would HIGHLY recommend you get a cover if yours is not covered.

I am no fish-expert, but my hawkfish was super cool and tranquil. Then she started going crazy, swimming up and down the glass. spending more time at the top edge of the water. I am speculating, but I suspect she/he was looking to mate and trying to "get out" (albeit even if it meant suicide). There was no change in water parameters.
Long story short, she jumped out of the tank and to this day I regret not covering my top -- I really liked that fish.

Make sure she has a perching spot(s) -- get a couple of those small magnet cleaners and put near the top for her to perch. Maybe she just trying to "find" her territory.
 
Yea lol have a top its an acrylic tank so 50% of the top is the tabks own welded top for structural support. And i keep two old magnet cleaner on the left and right and i have a glass top laying on them to cover thr openeing in the top i jack it up like this to keep air flow but also keep salt splash down. I lowered it to keep him from jumping out because i jeard him jumping smacking thr top.


Anyway its been 2 days now and he finally stopped now hes exploring the tank more
