My flame has been in QT for about 6 weeks in hyposalinity. I'm finished with hypo and have started to raise salinity but I've noticed some white growth about a week ago right before its gill that has spread a little. Not Ick. I have a blue tang and clown in 20-gallon qt also and if Ick were present the tang would show it. Not to mention the growth wouldn't be in same place as it goes through the lifecycle. I have not doubt this has been brought on by stress since the flame was doing great before QT. He has also lost his appetite and his tail fin has started to shred. I'm treating been treating with Primafix for two days because I thought the white growths could be a fungus, but not sure. Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve also soaked food in garlic guard and tried live brine shrimp with little success. No ill signs from tang or clown. Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m debating putting him back into the main tank, but Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m not sure it what he has will go away on its own. I've attached pics and I'll work on getting better ones.
