Flame scallop hitchhiker

Just bought a shroom rock from a fellow reefer & turns out there was a fairly large 3" + flame scallop under the rock. He didnt know he had it & wasnt feeding it.
I just setup the 125g 2 wks ago & moved everything from my 60g (plus extra rock from my 55g) to the 125g. Looks good so far, I was planning on feeding the scallop, but what?
Phyto, specific type? TIA

The scallops are filter feeders so just dump some phyto in and you should be fine. If you want to ensure it is getting food you can spot feed it with a syringe.

Do flames require special lighting like clams do or will they do well in low light also??

He was under a rock, completely hidden from view & most light. They are filter feeders, do not require light (a lot). But like clams need an established tank & phyto is a good add
