Will a flame hawkfish eat hermit crabs, or cleaner shrimp? My shrimp are fairly large. I really like the flame hawkfish , but dont want to add one if its not safe for the crabs, and shrimp.

It's a risk with both. Some will tell you that their flame hawk did just fine with hermits and even a shrimp or two, but the majority have problems with at least the shrimp. The hermits could very well be eaten too. Once the hawkfish discovers how good they taste, it's only a matter of time until they all disappear.

def no on the shrimp and if you get some monster hermits you should be fine.

I agree. Mine wiped out all the shrimps before he was relocated elsewhere...
