flasher wrasse and flame angel compatable?

im setting up a 65 gallon montipora tank and i like the flame angel but also want to include a flasher wrasse.

already have a false perc, royal gramma, plan to get 2-3 firefish as well.
maybe 3-4 blue chromis

anyone see any problems?

I keep a Carpernter's with my Coral Beauty and neither one of them seem to care about one another. I don't see a problem with it.

If you get two or three firefish, you will end up with one firefish as two will be killed. They, as well as flasher wrasses, are notorious jumpers. Serioussnaps is right about covering and I do not mean eggcrate which is totally inadequate.

right now i dont have any jumpers. but i was wondering about multiple firefish because in a few reeftanks i have seen here on RC i have noticed that they have 4-6 firefish hanging out in the same area even though they have tons of space to spread out.

probly all females and a male?

and for a lid, the hood im making should provide some protection, the only openings will be for ventilation on the top for mini fans. the T5 lights and reflectors will be 4 inches give or take above the water. maybe 5 inches, need to see how it looks first.

im still wondering about a flame angel. i do have some candy canes that i can see it picking on. also have a maze brain that i like alot. but a flame angel shouldnt bother a hammer or frogspawn and my ricordias right?

I had a P.cyaneus, P angulatus and P. filamentosus with a flame angel, a pair of Nematoleotris decora (purple firefish), a pair of polymnus clowns, and a bunch of fairies.

Have lids. Take no chances. Those fish will jump thru the eye of a needle if they get the chance. "Some protection". against jumping, won't do it.

maybe some protection wasnt the best way to say it. the hood should provide absolute protection, aside from scrapes with the wood and bumps on the head. but the lights will pose a danger for any fish that jumps into them. is there anything i could build around the lights that would keep the fish from hitting them yet wont entangle the fish?
