Flatworm???? FWE didn't Kill It! PICTURES

Tonight there are a good dozen back...if not more. I am going to start sucking them out now.

NO, I have not been doing my water changes:) My plan is to do a big water change this weekend, and then continue that every 5 to 7 days. I usually pull about 2.5 gallons of the 12, but this weekend I am going to plan for a 5 to 6 gallon.

I will keep you all posted.

Update

So I slacked on Saturday night and didn't suck the 15+ flatworms out. Tonight, Sunday, I sucked out a good 20+ and did a 5+ gallon water change.

I guess we will see how that goes. I definitely have too much nutrients in the water since I am getting a little reddish algae on the back wall. I put Chemi-Pure back into the 3rd chamber, and I have a bottle of Phosban I plan to run a little of.

I'm definitely going to keep up the battle and will be sure to report back to show progress, or admit to my never ending battle.

I had them for a while, they are only harmful ina way if there are too many (the red ones) they block light to the corals.Covering them. FWE worked for me.

These aren't the red kind, and FWE doesn't seem to phase them. I put about a dozen in a quarter cup of water with about 5 drops and they didn't die after 20 minutes.

Seems like most seem to think these clear type are near harmless.....I am just doing my best to get rid of them either way.

light goes right through the clear ones

These guys don't go anywhere but on the glass it seems. Unless they are hiding underneath, all my softies seem happy and untouched.

They are just a pain when they are on the glass and you want to use your magnet to clean.

Just magnet-Ize them
Really it is not an issue if you just wipe the magnet and they are on the way, they usually fall and clime back later.
By the way the ones I had were harmless and they were not transparent but light brown.

UPDATE
Last night, I did a 5+ gallon water change and sucked out most of the worms I saw, but not all of them.

Today, I see a fraction of what has been on the glass. Maybe 10 or so. I am not going to suck them out, but instead, plan to do another small water change in 2 days or so. Going to see if more frequent water changes work instead since sucking them out daily was NOT working.

Hopefully I can find a winning solution and others can learn from my efforts.
