Flatworm Question?

I may have flat worms.The guy at the LFS told me they may be.THere on the glass in my fuge and on my mushroons...
THey kinda have the shape of a elongated sand dollar and somewhat transparent.are they bad,and if so what eats them?

I know you dont want them but im not sure how to get rid of them. Maybe a six line wrass? Someone know?

A few treatments of flatworm exit should take care of the problem.

I would be very carefull if you plan on using 'exit' to treat. Flatworms emit a toxin as they die (and if your not removing them at the same time your tank will be in a world of hurt).

I've heard a six line will eat them.

Flatworm exit will work. I have used it before. Syphon out as many as you can before you start to does the flatworm exit. Does twice as much is recommended (single recommended does killed some but not all of mine). Then complete a 25%-35% water change and run carbon in a canister filter. Check the peramiters often and watch the tank closely... Simple as that.

A sixline decimated a flatworm problem of mine rather quickly. You should try siphoning what you can. I can't speak on "flatworm exit", never used it.

Will the sixline pick them off of the shrooms?

All my flatworms are on the shrooms.

If the flatworms are other places in your tank you just have to look really carefully. At least they are not the red flatworms which multiple like wild fire. It may be more benificial to get a rubbermaid or a small 10 gallon tank and mix the flatworm exit in the 10 gallon and place the shrooms in that tank. That way you won't effect all your corals. If it was me though, I would flatworm exit the whole tank and just get it over with.

It may or it may not. Sorry I don't have a better answer than that, but you never know how an individual fish will react. If you're able to get the shrooms out and into quarantine, that may be helpful. Treat them and see what happens.

That says it all! It really is simple to dose FW exit. The hardest part is siphoning out as many live ones as you can.

Thanks....Im going to research them somemore and tthen decide the action i'll take....Could they be why my gorgonia hasn't opened in awhile?And what harm are they doing in my tank?
Taking the shrooms out isn't an option...there are too many and on all my rock...
