My CBB disapeard for a few days...thought he was dead:( then he reappeared :) , but had a nasty flesh wound :( I think he was stuck in the rockwork and a rab might have taken advantage of his situation. He is acting fine, but looks nasty.

OUCH! That looks like it hurt. How does one treat an injury to a fish like that? Antibiotics in a QT tank? Apply something directly to the wound to help it heal? Leave it alone? Just curious.

i was going to leave him alone. i figure the less stress the better and it is near impossible to catch a fish in a 300g tank. i am always open to suggestions from those with more brains than i

OUCH! that is AWFUL! If you catch him it will add stress. just watch him closely and look for any signs of infection. if he shows any, you need to get it out. when my powder brown got stuck in the overflow on the old tank, I had to dig him out with my fingers. when finally out, he had lost a fin and was beat up and looked like that. just kept him well fed and he pulled thru.
