How much flow should you have through your refugium. Its a 75 gallon RR that I am going to have overflow into my main sump. I would assume it would be pretty low. Thank you!

75 gallons! now that a refugium. How do you plan to set it up? (Live Rock, sand, algae) I think that may decide how much flow you would need (lets say a sand or live rock bottom you would try to avoid detritus build up so a fast flow. but in a cheto only environment slow flow to allow the cheto to use up nutrients) that is the kind of questions I would ask myself first.

I was planning on a good thick sand base, with liverock rubble, and algea. I figured the live rock would give the critters a place to hide.
I figured with a fairly slow flow in/out (300gph or so) and maybe a pretty stout power head to keep things stirred up abit, critters would keep most of the detritus in check. will have 48" pc lights on it. Any inputs?
