flukes and dead fish

Found that my fish had flukes. Removed all the fish from the display and put into qt. There is still 1 fish thst is most likely dead indide the displsy. I had to remove all rock to catch the fish. The purple dotty back hasn't been seen since. Its been 2 weeks with no sign of it. Can flukes survive on dead fish?

Most likely the fish is well decomposed by now, but to answer the question...No they won't survive on a carcass.

+1 However, if you suspect a very recently deceased fish succumbed to flukes, you can still administer a f/w dip to confirm that suspicion.

I'd love to but it buried itself into a rock when I started moving all the other fish into QT. It's been two weeks and no signs of it at all. I've seen it hide for a few days before but never this long...

I've had wrasses do that. Just take a small plastic rake of some sort and gently move the sand around. He will probably pop out if he's alive. If not a decomposing body could throw the chemistry (ammonia, etc) off balance.

Same question as original post but for Ich. I have a pair of clowns in a new tank that I can no longer find. One disappeared a few days back and the other just last night. I've started to tear apart the rockwork a bit but can't locate either of them. Definitely saw spots and witnessed loads of scratching.

Nothing else in the tank but small hermits, snails, and a trio of cleaner shrimp. Possible the shrimp are holding onto them in some crevice somewhere. Does Ich survive on the carcasses? Just trying to figure out when fallow period might reasonably begin.
