are these flukes or not cause my LFS told me to use metronidazole to fix this. they say its flukes but from what i read I'm not really sure what this is

Could you post a better picture? I really cannot tell from the picture if it is a bacterial infection or flukes, etc. The best medicine to use for flukes would arguably be prazipro. It is also one of the ONLY reef safe meds tthat actually work; therefore you can treat without removing the fish from the DT!
