Fluval 204 worth using?

Got a free corner bowfront tank and stand as well as a pretty much brand new fluval 204 filter. Is it worth saving and using this thing or should I trade or sell it for other equipment? Other than using it for flow, what else is it good for? Thanks, Jeff

It all depends on what type of tank you will have. In a FO or FOWLR tank, a cannister filter can work well. I'm not familiar with the sizing on them though so I'm not sure if it's adequately sized. In a reef tank, it can be used well as a charcoal/gfo(phosban) media reactor.

Might as well hang on to it. You might find a use for it someday. I doubt you will get a very good price for it on the resale market.
