fluval a3971 rewired for separate lunar light plug possible?

Has anyone rewired these lights to have 2 individual plugs? 1 for daylight and 1 for lunar lights? I find the design stupid that I have to keep switching the front panel to get either day or lunar light as I want to use them individually on timers
