Fluval PS1

So I ordered a Fluval ps1 (due to the small size of the skimmer) and this thing is producing all kinds of micro bubbles. Covered the output with a Filter Sock and that helps a little but not nearly as much as I'd like. Is there any other options for a HOB skimmer that is significantly better? Do I just need to break in the skimmer? What do yall think?

Generally it gets better after break in, but it can vary between skimmers too. I have never used the Fluval before, so I can't speak for it specifically. I have an Aquatic Life 115 (Similar skimmer) on my small cube tank that put out a decent amount of bubbles when it was new, but not so much now.

I'll wait a month or so... I was just about to put some coral in but I think I might wait due to the micro bubbles now....

This skimmer came with my Fluval M40, and after about 5 weeks, I have up on it and switched to a bubble magus QQ1 HOB which has worked well thus far.

I have used the fluval ps1 and for a nano it works fine. The bubble will dissapear if you bear with it. If you take it apart to clean just make sure all tubes and casings are firmly attached correctly.

I have just put one of these in my new tank. I had a similar issue with bubbles. At first it was terrible and no adjustments seemed to do anything and then after about two weeks they were down to a trickle and they've almost stopped.

I just find it very difficult figuring out the best setting for the adjustment cup and air intake valve. Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
