Fluval?

Do you think that a Fluval 404 would be good for a FOWLR 28 Gallon Hexagon?

if your going to go with a canister, i am running an emeim 2028 on a 54 gallon reef, go with an eheim...when i first got into this hobby i did a lot of research and read tons of reviews...eheim is the best...i have owned fluvals and have had minor problems with them...they just aren't the best made product. i actually have a 404 on a freshwater tank, i am extreamly happy with my eheim and if your going to get a canister go with an eheim.

go w/ the fluval, i find eheim to be a dying product. You'll get much more compatability w UV's and such with a fluval- personally I find eheims to have more problems--- but thats just my personal opinion.

ive been running fluval for about 3 years now with no problems, but ive never used an ehiem, so i wouldnt know the difference? by the way, how different could they be, they're both can filters right? and they do the same exact thing as one another? i'd go for the cheaper one! the only difference between the two is design, and what type of media you put into it.

I disagree. Fluvals use the ribbed hose which is very difficult to add uv's and such. Eheims use standard tubing which makes adding a uv or inline heater a breeze. Fluvals are passive filters, Eheim's are not. Parts for the Eheim are readily available at www.bigalsonline.com
