The July 2006 PBMAS Meeting will be held on July 29th at 6 PM. It will be held at the Meeting Room at the WPB Hospice facility. This is not near any patients and is a great presentation room. PBMAS is very proud to present our third guest speaker of the year, Kelly Jedliki. Alberto personally met Kelly when he was living in MD as she came to speak to his local club there and was blown away by her knowledge and dedication to keeping puffer fish. Kelly is a nationwide well known expert in the care of puffer fish. She has collaborated with the curators of many well known national zoos and public aquariums in the maintenance of these beautiful creatures. She is also responsible for inventing and implementing a special dental technique used in these fish that greatly revolutionized their captive care. It really goes without saying that we are priviledged to have Kelly speak to our club, and I sincerely hope you enjoy her talk as much as he did the first time. She covers more than this particualr fish and really specializes in fish dieases and treatments.
This presentation will challenge each and every one of us, but at the same time it will leave something behind for each one of us to use in our husbandry technique.
Due to the expenses involved in bringing speakers from out of town, non-paid members will be required to pay a $15 attendance fee each to this meeting. If you want to join at the meeting to also take advantage of all the other perks as a member, you are very encouraged to do so, and the meeting fee will be waived. There will be applications and membership cards on hand to anyone needing them. If you're a FMAS member we're willing to lower the charge to only $5.
This meeting should be fun and very educational to all level reefers, so plan to attend. Your membership fee is making this possible for everyone, so enjoy it.
If your interested in finding out more about our speaker she has her own Thread on the MarineDepot forums here
