FMAS Memberships

This is just a friendly reminder for everyone that FMAS memberships are annual, so it's time for all of us to renew.

As always, we welcome non-members to our general meetings, but membership is required for certain club activities, including the upcoming frag swap (March 9th). The board of directors strongly encourages everyone to join or renew prior to arriving at the frag swap. Last year, it took nearly an hour to process applications for everyone that was waiting when the doors opened. Join now and you can avoid that delay.

Membership forms are available on our website if you would like to print one and fill it out in advance. You can sign up at any FMAS meeting.

We are looking into adding electronic registration and payment options to our website. We hope to have this available soon, and will let everyone know when it is up and running.

I've all of our previous paperwork is still current (addresses, phone numbers, etc) can we just pay the fee and it'll be fine, or do we have to continue the whole 9 yards?

BTW the Paypal idea is genius especially since you've already presumably got a bank account. The only issue will be organizing submitted payments and stuff. So easy and quick though, it'll definitely be worth it. If you guys need a guinea pig, let me know :)

For the time being, you would need to fill out the form, if for no other reason than making sure your payment gets applied to you for 2008. Even after we get online payments working, you'll still have to do enter your information, but it will be easier since it's all online.

Paypal provides a sandbox for testing website integration, but we may ask for guinea pigs after we think it's working. But I'm getting way ahead of myself there - we still have work to do on that front.

Once we get a member database set up, you should be able to log in and renew your membership without entering all your info again. And if something changes, like your address or phone, you should be able to edit your profile.
