My wife really wants a FO tank. Particularly a dwarf lion. ( O.K. I like the idea of having some of the reef non-safe fish also.) Just wondering if any of you have had any experiences good/bad and any hints as to get me started. Going out today to find a book or 2. Also keep an eye out for a 55- 90 gal that is about 48" long as I want them to match side by side. Thanks..Craig.

Thanks for the advice the other day Clay.

Anyone have a double light flourecent sitting in the garage they want to sell. I am looking for a 36" or 48" for this fish only tank?...Thanks ...Craig.

you can afford it, if that is what you are after. Do you want a retrofit, meaning do you already have a hood/canopy to mount it in?
I'm talking 25 bucks.
what all do you have so far? I am getting ready to put a 90T on the market, oak stand etc. Let me know if you are interested.

Still not realy sure what it is but maybe you could explain it to me. I got a tank and stand 55 gal today but that is it so I have to start from scratch everywhere else. What do you think.Thanks....Craig

p.s. Dale the 90 is all your to big for me and I think I saw a corner in the living room that was free(although the dogs might have to live outside:D

it is a TRUVU Aquasystem, Plexi, needs some polishing

here is a look at the aquasystem, I have not used the DLS or bio balls for years, made a mount back there for 2 filter socks instead.
Heater fits back there, etc.

The stand was built by a friend of mine, before I ever thought about a sump.

LMK if you are interested, I will post more info before it hits dry goods selling forum.

Ken good luck with the tank. I wish I had the space. The stand is beautiful. I am sure you will have no problem selling it. The lighting is a bit scary for an electrically impared person plus my wife has her eye on a fixture that stands alone on top of the tank.( it is technically hers.) Thanks anyways.

BTW we did a quick tour of some of the fish stores in SF I had never been to on Saturday and had a good time looking around. Scored a slightly used Euroreef skimmer for my reef tank for only $80. Now I just have to make it fit. Loved Ocean Treasures store, Lucky Ocean had nice folks but slightly dirty tanks, 6th ave was well 6th ave, Aquatic Central was renovating and will have a beautiful downstairs saltwater section. I also was in awe of their 8ft skimmer.

All in all a nice trip but I think most dry goods are cheaper online.
