FOWLR does it require perfect water?

Just checked my TDS on my ro unit and it is 003. Normally if this was a reef tank I would change the filters out but trying to extend this. Do you think it is necessary to have 000 TDS for fowlr?

no, its not necessary. i use tap water

but the tap water has to be good...some is not...call your local water co. they can give you a breakdown of your water...test both hot and cold...mine were very different...

I use to buy or make RO but swtiched to tap over the last 18 months and all has be fine. IMO the key is plenty of water changes.
