fowlr........ich

good food, good water, sturdy fish to begin with......not too much intervention needed for a mild case. A lot of ick, no UV, lot of fish.....you better act quick.

what do you mean by flashing ? my triggers flash all day long . my niger goes from a deep blue to a peach color .

But just in case you do have an out break . My sugestion is treating with chem marin's stop parasite. I have used it in my main tank as well as in QT with excelent results .

by flashing I mean rubbing against the substrate or rocks every once in awhile.i guess I better just keep an eye on them so I can nip it in the bud.

Try to feed twice a day for 2 weeks and get proper diet for each fish(angels=sponge, tangs=greens, etc...). Keep ph really steady during this time also. Worked for me.

I had a banana wrasse that ALWAYS flashed, for the many months I had it. I gave it to a lfs, still very healthy. Never had anything on it, just liked scratching.

i have a green bird wrasse that scratches on the same rock, and only that rock every day and he is fine. excessive scratching is a sign of trouble, but the occational itch is no biggy

my lunare and huma "flash" all the time both have their own rocks they like to scratch on .if you don't see any spots you probably don't have any ich .

well I guess this a marine fish trait, I will keep an eye for any signs of spots on fins ect, it drives me nuts when they do it because I assume something is wrong:( , but hopefully not:)

buy a neon goby or cleaner shrimp to eat parasites--better yet both cuz my neon goby would eat off the other fish but no one could eat off him so the parasites were always around
