FOWLR need light?

Was planning on changing back to a FOWLR and was wondering if 3 hours of lighting is enough for the fish? I have a 4x24watt t5 fixture and perhaps I would just run one bulb to save on electricity.

I would give them a natural day cycle unless you are keeping nocturnal or deep water fish. Running one bulb would be fine, so long as that fixture is the size used for the tank. For example if the tank is large, 24 watts would hardly provide a daytime period.
