Been in the tank for 5 days now.

He seems to be doing fine, he has this thing where he ticks his top fin.

Whenever I feed him, a white looking sheen comes off, his top fins and his body (i think it also comes off his bocy but not sure!

Any idea as to if this is normal or is this the start of a problem?

Shedding mucus, which is the only thing that I can think of that would be shedding off of a fish is an idication of parasites. If you have any other fish in the tank they are at high risk of becoming infested as well, if they havent already. Hopefully this link will help you pin down what you may be dealing with and then how to deal with it.

brook is a sickness that causes mucus to shed off the skin. Im into clowns.. not sure if this effects other fish, but if it does, you need to act quickly. formilin dips will heal it (if its brook) but if not treated will kill extreamly fast
