Frag and save or doing just fine...

Thoughts?

The base looks like it's dying but there is lots of growth and splitting up top.

I'm not sure if the leather has sweepers as I'm not a soft coral guy and the toxins it releases would affect the whole colony I would think.

Soft coral toxins are a red herring for SPS trouble in any reef that runs carbon, has a skimmer or does water changes. Look elsewhere for issues.

In any case, I agree to frag and remount the good branches.

Agree that it should be fragged. I've also had success by supergluing the STN edge to keep it from spreading.

Good luck. I just superglued some STN on another frag and it stopped the STN. So, IME that works really well.
