Frag glue?

I have several frags that need to be secured to my rockwork, but I don't want to take the rock out of the water. What can I use to glue them underwater?

Are the frags soft or hard? If they are hard corals, then you can use epoxy putty such as Aquamend. You can also use Superglue Gel if you are quick. You can also add the glue underwater on to the frag. It's a little tricky, but you can do it. As far as soft corals go, needle and thread works really good.

Ryan, what i do is select the frag and look at the base of it. I then try and find a hole in the rock (a pit or anything of rogh same size) I then see if it fits.

then....squeeze superglue into the hole. Fill it as best you can and push frag into the hole and jiggle it a little. Hold a second or two then release. That has worked well for me.

Sometime a little glue on the frag base also helps.

A screwdriver (clean) will help make a hole in most LR, especially fiji.

Sounds like the hole in the rock will work for small frags, but what about Montipora plates, or frags mounted to a piece of rubble?

Me and Travis just superglued a few monti cap frags to a rock in my tank....much too large and buried of a rock to remove for this, so it was a matter of being quick with the superglue...and alot of superglue at that, took a few tries to get em secured.

those, i just wedge in as best I can, or put a lot of glue under the frag and smear it onto the LR as i push the frag in place.
