Frag question

So i had some issues and lost a few large SPS. I managed to save a few pieces by fragging. I fragged so much that i did not have enough rubble to put all the frags on. So some rubble pieces have two or three frags on them. Now that i am through the worst and most of the frags have survived, they are growing already. Heres my question the bases of these frags are encrusting and getting close to each other. What will happen when they touch. Or should i remove the frags and separate them? Keep in mind that the frags that are on the same rock are the same species.

I am hoping that i dont have to move them to sress them again.

Same specie from the same parent colony will fuse at the base.

...and if different you should most likely separate. All depends on what it is as some will touch without problems, no general rule.
