Frag/refugium compartment?

I have a sump with a refugium with chaeto and live rock in my system ,i always love to frag and see how the coral grow.The refugium compartment is about 13"x16"x16" with about a 10" of water,my questions are can i make a frag and refugium in the same compartment?how much space do the chaeto needs? can an AI prime will be ok to grow all types of coral and the chaeto? do i have to put a wave maker in there?Anyone have this type of set up,Can you share it a photo ,ideas?

Hey Carl,


Good flow with good lighting and low trates and phosphates will yield good results. Coral need good flow to oxygenate and bring nutrition, so yes on flow. Good full spectrum lighting will grow and color coral, AI prime will do both as long as you don't exceed coverage of 18" imo. And chaeto will grow with the prime albeit slowly as it prefers a lower kelvin but will def keep nuisance algae at bay. Hth
