I finally moved some stuff around in my frag tank. It's a 40g breeder with a 40g breeder sump. I took the 2 Nanostream 6055s from my main tank and stuck them in there. Their flow is rated at up to 1500 gph. So 2 of them makes it 3k which makes my flow 75x volume...obviously a little much. So I set them up on opposite sides and used the controller to do one side at 10% (150gph) and the other to do 60% (750) so that I only have 1050 gph at any one time. That's about 27x volume, which seems reasonable for a sps frag tank. They go back and forth every 30 seconds.
After 3 days my frags have no PE and the monti digitas look a little worse for the wear. Is this still too much? Do they need to acclimate to the new flow ( I had about 1/2 that in there before and it wasn't variable)?
