fragging a Mycedium

I've got this Mycedium that seems to be putting on growth every day and eventually it's going to run into some of my other corals. When I pick the coral up the skeleton seems pretty brittle, so do I need a rotary tool to frag this or are there some alternatives? I'm thinking about breaking the skeleton carefully and then using an exacto knife to cut through the tissue. Seems easy enough but I'm not sure this will work. Thanks.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I use iodine along the cut edge and place in a high flow area till it heals.

This thing is getting bigger by the day it seems. I'll frag it like mentioned above, but I'm kind of scared to tell you the truth. I'd hate to butcher this thing. Wish me luck.
