Fragging fail

Hello I've been trying to get these two polyps to attach their foot for a couple weeks now. I've tried placing them in a cup with rubble and low flow and that hasn't worked. I feel as if they are shrinking as well. Is there any other safe way to get them to attach ? I'm scared to lose them cuz these guys were expensive

i usually wrap them with mesh (garlic bags) and an elastic to hold them to a rock, they should only take a day or two to attach themselves

+1 on the mesh with rubber band, just keep them in low flow though, I wouldn't recommend the glue since the foot isn't attached to anything it is likely that it will slime away and end up floating around in your tank.

Give them another two weeks....sometimes mine take up to four weeks to attach. No glue. A watched pot never boils......

Ive used super glue gel to frag for quite a while and it always works for me. I can see why the natural approach would be better but it does work instantly.

If the rubberband + mesh is still too much pressure....try the container/cup approach with rubble, fit the mesh over top of it and rubber band that around the sides of the cup/container so there is some space between the coral and the top of your container.

Sorry somewhat old thread. Thanks for all your advice, but they disappeared out of the cup/rubble and I couldn't find them when I moved. Somewhat upsetting because they were each 35+ dollar beuties

Sometimes your water parameters can have a lot to do with whether they'll attach or not and how long it would take, I think it's a lot to do with stable alkalinity and salinity.
