Fragging GSP... question about dry rock in tank

I may be being paranoid.

When fragging GSP and glueing to small pieces of dry rock. Would I be concerned about the small 1 inch pieces of dry rock leaching stiff into my tank? Maybe 4 or five of them.

Thanks

Perfect thanks!

First time fragging anything. Someone gave me it for free when I started. Looking forward to giving some away to some other beginners.

If there is a potential that the dry rock was exposed to something that it could have absorbed which can then be released upon getting wet again then yes you may have problems..
But if its known "clean/safe" dry rock then no..

Never put something into the tank where you are unsure of its origin/treatment.. No matter if its small or not..

Maybe that rock fell into a bucket of gasoline last year.. (stretching it but I think you understand my point)

Besides "cooking" would a quick rinse in some tank water be a good bet. Or would you let it sit for a day in the water. All are options I'm not in a hurry yet.

Maybe... Maybe not..

A quick rinse in water is not a cure for any/all toxic chemicals..
;)

I personally would have no problems breaking up the extra dry rock in my garage and using it for frags.. But I know my rock is clean/dry/safe..
If I didn't I wouldn't use it..

It's leftover dry rock I used to build my tank over a year ago. Has been sitting in the stand. Guess I'll use it.

Thanks!!!!
