Ok.. so my mumps needs some trimming. it has finally started touching the Hydnopora, so time to cut it. now, HOW? knife? Razor blade? I plan on trimming a 1" sections off it to give it room round the others and them mount it to some small chunks.

NOt sure if I will sell it as of yet. I really want to see how quickly the clipping grows. As a while it has grown about 500% since Dec. Below is a pic, if you are interested in it, let me know and we can work a bit of trade.

Rip it up with a razor. To get it to attach, you can try loosely rubberbanding it to a rock, insertina toothpick through the base and loosely attach the ends to a toothpick around the rock, sew it on to a rock with fishing line, put it inrubble, etc. It's best to pull it from the tank to do the cutting. If not (and even if so), run carbon to knock out any softie checmicals.

Gary, removal is not really an option as it is really attached to a footbal sized rock. I have decided to grab a razor and slice a few "arms" off to keep it out of the hydno. when I moved, it came loose from the rock and I placed it back with some superglue and that worked really good with no ill effects, so I may just try glueing it. I bought some Crazy glue gel b4 the move and it has worked pretty good. it is a bit runnier than the loctite I have used, but once set, holds really well. On a side note, all frags have encrusted the rocks now since the move and the tank is really thriving. I may also be cutting some Hot pink Zenia soon as they have over taken a rock and I had to move my pocillapora to keep them out of it.
