fragging mushrooms

Am trying to remove some mushrooms from a large rock at the bottom of my aquascaping. last sunday removed 5 large ones with an exacto knife and put them on a small rock. wrapped it up in wedding veil netting and set it back in the tank. everything seemed to be going well and yesterday i thought i would take the netting off and see if they were stuck. they werent stuck they were gone. Is there some way to get these off and attached to another rock?

Any time you put wedding veils on anything it quits producing!!!

Try wrapping a rubber band around them and attach to the rock, wait two weeks should be good.

I put quite a bit of small rubble in a fish net and let it hang down in the water in the tank. I throw a few mushrooms in there and in a few weeks have fully attached mushrooms.

i have a different technique, but its worked in the past.

I drilled a pin tip size hole in the rock i want to use. Fill it with a dab of super glue. put a thumbtack (tooth pick) through the edge of the mushroom/ ric and put it into that hole you made.

Put it in a tuperware in a low flow area of your tank, the superglue is just enough to secure the tack and hold the mushroom in place. Leave it for a couple weeks, and carefully pull the tack out. I use tacks because the toothpicks tend to break when your taking them out. Plus they pull out cleaner.
