watch out for a company named wcbillings.com, echo.net, and apsavingsmart. Between the three they took a little over 1100 out of my account. They do it in small amounts. Never more than 100.

the bank is investigating that now. Luckily they are putting it all back. The guy said most likely from the Internet. But they have had a few where servers and restaraunt employees selling account numbers.

oh wow...that is crazy....thats why when purchasing from the internet you should use only 1 credit card that way you know what you have bought and more than likely will have fraud protection....never use a debit card that is linked to your bank account that you may use money out of every day so small amounts are liable to slip by without being noticed becasue you may have forgotten you spent money at a particular place....i know i have done that several times.....good luck i hope you get your money back

My credit card allows me to set up a temporary number to make purchases. I limit the amount on the temp number. We watch our accounts very closely.

Thanks for the warning/reminder to always have that thought it's possible in the back of our heads. And I hope you get 100% of your money back easily. The only time I've ever had to dispute a charge it got removed no questions asked except they still tried to hit me with a restocking fee on a purchase I hadn't even made.

hey i have also heard to be careful using your debit card at walmart...i've heard of several people having there money being used in texas and florida --some of that was blamed on walmart so don't use your debit card there

My sister had her debit card used from Wal-Mart in Louisiana but her bank realized it and stop it immediately. So no damage was done

What's the deal on that? How does WalMart use your debit card fraudulently?

On a side note: I was in Home Depot checking out at the register in the garden department. The scanner with the keypad on the counter wasn't working. The clerk said she could scan it on the register so I gave her the card and she did. She looked at the register for a moment and then said "Do you have a PIN?". I said yes. She said "What is it?". (she said that with a straight face too). I told her that it was somewhat of a secret and I'd like to keep it that way. Then she said "Do you want me to just put zero?". I said yes, she did, and the debit card purchase was approved. Apparently they have found a way around the PIN number.
