The next LARS meeting will be Sunday December 13th at 6pm.
Topic: Coral Growth Vs. Coral Color
As we roll into Christmas, we know how hard it is to not buy reef related items when we are trying to buy many gifts for many people. LARS would like to thank its members by giving them a free gift for Christmas. Every paid member in attendance will get a free small gift as a thank you and to help scratch that reef itch.
This month we will be discussing Coral Growth Vs. Coral Color. Many reefers cannot find the right balance between both and tend to find themselves with one or the other. Our discussion will help you understand what other reefers are achieving with their water flow, lighting feeding habits and filtration. This is a good time to understand why some reefers find a certain coral to be easy while others can struggle.
New to SPS? this meeting will help you develop some good sps keeping habits. Zoe collector? find out what others are doing to keep their high end zoas brilliant in color. Come on out and hang out with fellow reefers. Local clubs are a great place to network. We all have problems with our tanks and talking to other reefers might give you some ideas to make your tank better. Everyone is welcome, bring whomever you would like to accompany you. No pressure to join or participate.
The LARS meeting will be at a new location for this month and new time of 6pm. Ocean Marine Sales in Covina will be hosting us in their large back room for our presentation. Last months turn out was amazing and we met a lot of new people.
Ocean marine will have a caterer outside selling quality mexican food. Grab a plate and have a seat for the presentation if interested. Dont miss out on a special dish.
We will be raffling off a high quality ATO reservoir. We will have a LOT of useable dry goods to raffle off this month so that everyone can go home with something! Its Christmas so why not come home with your own stocking stuffers!
We will have our club Frag Tank set up for members to sell/trade coral. Members will also have a chance at an exclusive free member raffle. Members also get to borrow the clubs new Par Meter! Sign up at the meeting.
