I have 4 mantis and 3 gorilla crabs. Free if you want them....

Hey Fudo,

They are already gone but I still have two more that I am trying to catch. They're yours if you want them. Perhaps I'll have them ready by the time the sand gets here.

I don't know what kind they are but they are red and the two that are left are the biggest ones. 2- 2 1/2" very fun to watch for now but when I start adding stff to my tanks they'll definately have to go.

Hey Mojo,

Any idea on species? I assume they are hitchhikers. What kind of rock did they come in on? Smashers or spearers?

They are definately smashers. They came on tbs LR. Their power is astonishing - I stick a chop stick in it's hole and now the chop stick has small divets in it. As much as I tried I could not hold my hand still while the stick was being smashed.

I ended up catching 4 of them which I already gave away. I have one more but it hasn't caused any problems or noticeable deaths in the past five weeks.

That's good. I actually don't want your mantis, but I'm sure there are people who love these things.

Actually they are quite cool and I am very suprised the shaolin monks haven't created a style of gung fu after them.

I have a little 1' mantis in my bad guy tank. A couple of weeks ago I caught a gorilla crab that was at least three inches across his carapice. One day last week I woke to find that the little mantis had killed the big crab. Classic david and goliath.

I think I have a very small one but I have not seen nor heard it in a week.

I haven't seen it for a week. I have a 5 gallon bad guy tank and the little killed most of what's in there but the only thing Ican see is a crab that is three time the size of the mantis. I hope the crab didn't eat the mantis because he was quite cool and fiesty
