free mantis

Damn i really want that mantis i live in Augusta Ga. but i won't have my tank set up until April or May. Any idea on how I could keep it without a fully set up tank? I've heard they are really hardy.
 
ill try to post a reply, my problem with the pic is getting it under 17KB, ill set my camera at its poorest setting and see if I can get a pic, right now Ive stored this fellow in a kitchen container with an airpump, and am changing its water once a day max, putting some raw shrimp in there for food, he hasnt touched it yet.
out of towners? let me see if this one guy locally doesnt want it, if he doesnt call me back I might consider shipping it if you pay me paypal and no guarantees, but ill ship it in tank water, zilion rubberbanded, and overnight express. Thats if the local guy doesnt want it.
 
thx but he'd probably be better off with someone with a tank rdy to go for him. G'luck i hope he survives the trip to N.Y. lol. How did you find him btw? Was he on some LR?

I think the mantis has found a home in Atlanta. A kind member of the Atlanta Reef Club has promised to give his murderous heart a home in a mantis-only tank. In return I'm going to try not to kill a sponge frag.......
I'll post tomorrow Monday if the deal falls through
 
hey 75 gallons,
I got the mantis on the second shipment of LR I got from tampabaysaltwater.com. I completely sell these guys, i think their product, their customer service, their website etc rock. I am completely in love with what their product has done to my tank!
