Free pest with free coral??!?

Hi I've only had my tank cycled for a few weeks and am just adding corals and cuc I was gifted a lps coral from a friend that has also just started up but I've noticed what appear to be feather dusters coming from the sides and growing through the coral I just want to know are they good/bad and can the coral be saved or not thanks for looking

Looks fine to me-may be even beneficial.

They look like feathers to me as well. I don't think they'd cause any issues but I may be wrong. Feather dusters can grow in between the acans or whatever coral but I've never seen one grow through a polyp though.
