This is for anyone out there that still uses the legacy VHS format. I was going through things in my shop and found a Coralife video called, "The Reef Aquarium - Soft Corals of the Captive Reef." It features Spyro Ananiades, John Tullock, Edward Prasek, and Jeff Macare.

I can bring it to the next meeting.

lol i remember having a beta

Yeah, you can't put two males together or they'll fight. :D

If anyone has a player, I have a converter that will transfer the video to digital. Then it could be burned to a DVD.

I'll check around here ... I think we have a VHS player still hooked up and could do it.

It’s Beta, not Betta you goofballs!

Alright, I get the whole play-on-words thing, but your humor notwithstanding, and while I’m on the subject: “Betta” IS NOT pronounced “Beta”.

(Sorry…. It just makes me insane when people (who don’t know any better) pronounce it wrong. And since “WE” DO know better and because we (should be) the Fish experts to the outside world, let’s get it straight ourselves.
:reading:

Betta is the correct spelling for the colorful fresh water Siamese fighting fish.

For the record, (HA! I kill me! No pun intended!) “Beta” (a video recording format, a test environment for computers, or the reverse setting on a turboprop’s propeller even) is pronounced: \ˈbâ-tə

“Betta” for the Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) is pronounced ˈbe-tə\

Get it straight.

Phew! Sorry. I feel much batter now.

Now, can we talk Vinyl? I’ve got some killer LP’s! Like Kraftwerk, Rare Earth, or Joe Bird and the Field Hippies! :smokin:

Nothing like the 8-tracks though: cutting out right in the middle of a song!

And the Roads around here are like heaven, even If they do take two-years to complete a short 1/4 mile stretch of road. I’ll show you pot holes! (can you say: Snow plows? I didn’t think so. They tear roads apart!!)

i still buy vinyl records. the best format ever, for sure.

I really miss the hiss and pop of vinyl in my songs.

8 track was the legacy iPod shuffle. You never knew what it would play next especially when the tape didn't roll smooth causing it to change tracks often.

I always wanted to install a reel to reel in our van, but I don't think the wife would go for it.

LOL!! I forgot about the Reel to Reel! Now that was Hi-fidelity!

Man, I feel old! But I'm NOT, really. (Technology is incredible.)
